“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up not doing nothing for nobody.” ~ Malcom Bane
After our project “la classe” I’m finally going back to Urfa, Turkey in November 2016. I will bring Shoes for the children to keep their feet warm and dry, pencils and copybooks to write down their stories and wishes. Toys to remind them that they are still children and to try to put more smiles and moments of joy on their faces. I’ll start y journey in Urfa and drive to Antakya, stop by the Turkish neighborhood of Kobane “the in October 2014 besieged city https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Koban%C3%AE ) and up to Gaziantep. *Check Map below.
During the same period of time, we are going to work on another Art for human rights project, using the real involved children’s footprints on a huge canvas. Afterward, the famous Syrian artist Houssam Alloum is going to complete the Artwork, considering the concept and the idea of; “give them shoes to run, wings to fly and copybooks to write their stories; they have too much to tell”
We are looking forward to celebrate the Universal Children’s Day 2016 with some of the forgotten children, to put some smiles on their faces and to share some moments of joy and happiness with them.
